Kanye West - Heartless

It took a few listens for me to warm up to this track, and I like it a lot more than Love Lockdown but it's still got me wondering what the fuck Kanye is up to with this new record. His beats are still sick, and the songs we've heard so far are well, decent, but what is with the singing? You are not a singer Kanye, and not amount of auto-tune is going to cover that up. It works for this song, but what about the rest of the record? The chorus on Love Lockdown is just so weak.

It's cool that he wants to branch out and experiment a little. No one wants him to just keep making The College Dropout over and over again. And I guess we've got to let him work out whatever he needs to work out in his music, but sometimes you should just stick to what you know. I mean, Michael Jordan could play baseball, but really, who wanted to see that shit?

I know this makes me sound like a hater, but I'm still going to pick up 808s & Heartbreak when it drops, and I'm going to keep an open mind. Who knows? Maybe it'll blow me away. All I'm saying is that I'm a little worried.
